Summary: A tried and true pistol in service throughout the entire GTA. The balance between power, accuracy, weight, rate of fire, flexibility, and reliability has caused this weapon to be the standard pistol for 26 years.

Summary: Pistol that sacrifices rate of fire and some weight for better stopping power. Not seen in the field too often, but some soldiers prefer it to the 705b.

AMP-140

Summary: A very light-weight and effective automatic weapon. A favorite for assassinations and stealth missions due to it's excellent silencing and use of case-less ammunition. Some soldiers prefer to take an AMP-140 in place of a pistol entirely, although that practice is not recommended.

Summary: Approaching its 80th anniversary, the AR3600b has been out of GTA service for many years, but since it is simple to make, modify, and care for it has become quite popular with militia groups and criminals looking for an easy to obtain illegal weapon. It may be old, but soldiers should always be wary of its accuracy.

Pletcher X700

Summary: The X700 was awarded the honor of being the standard rifle of the GTA two years ago. The GTA desired a balanced weapon to usher in the era of case-less ammunition based weapons and the X700 met or exceeded those requirements easily. Case-less weapons tend to be poor armor piercers due to the material that makes up the ammunition, but the high muzzle energy of the X700 combined with its fire rate has a tendency to kill infantry sized targets through a study stream of massive concussive force rather than piercing armor and tearing flesh. In the case of hard armor (Ceramics or composites) the X700 displayed the ability to impact the armor with so much energy in a short period of time that it cracked or warped, making the target vulnerable.

Summary: Almost older than the Westin AR3600b, this weapon is another common favorite amongst non-GTA groups who feel the need for some heavier firepower but don't have the tenacity or connections to try for newer and much meaner large guns. Its lack of accuracy is easily made up for by its ability to penetrate most infantry armor. A small handful are still in GTA service, but mostly in backwater areas.

Summary: Despite being cumbersome and slow to reload the typical soldier can take comfort in the fact that whatever the Scorpion's HE round hits will certainly be destroyed. The rocket can penetrate between 34 and 48 centimeters of armor before exploding. The rounds can also be laser guided, making them a good weapon to attack slow moving aerial targets in addition to ground vehicles.

E400 Plasma Rifle

Anti-Personell Energy Weapon

Summary: Still a largely experimental weapon the E400 heats the polymer around the iron slugs to temperatures high enough to turn the polymer into a liquid-plasma mix. The iron core helps with the cohesion of the round as it travels to it's target. This weapon has an incredible appetite for batteries unless it is provided with a seperate generator. Prolonged use has been known to overheat and cause serious damage to the weapon. On the bright side it performs the task of killing enemy infantry exceptionally well.
