AR-3600b
Featured Picture for 8/21/01 to 8/29/01 - An oldie but goodie, the AR-3600b has been retired from GTA service for several decades. The gun design itself is nearly 80 years old, but it's still the favored weapon of terrorists and militia groups because of the ease involved in it's manufacturing and maintainence. The "Arby" is composed largely of steel and aluminum rather than the high impact polymers used in most modern weapons, and as a result it is a little heavy for its size and ballistic power. It's kinda like the AK-47 of the late 22nd and early 23rd century. Displayed above is a common variation of the weapon, but many others exist.

Ruteger 705B
Featured Picture for 8/29/01 to 9/10/01 - This standard arms pistol to GTA marines looks like your every day pretty little pea-shooter, however the Ruteger 705B doubles as a lethal weapon. The power, accuracy, weight, rate of fire, flexibility, and reliability of the Ruteger has made it the standard pistol of the GTA for 26 years, now. Mostly recruits enjoy the usage of this gun as it's one of the most ergonomic, easy to use weapons in their available arsenel. Seasoned veterans often prefer the HG6000 -- a pistol with added weight and firepower.

Xanthas Class Transport
Featured Picture for 9/10/01 to 10/14/01 - The Xanthas transport (Nicknamed "The Angry Walrus") was originally designed when the GTA realized that ground troops were not too useful if they could not be delivered to the front lines alive. The earlier Scion transport did offer some light offensive weaponry, but was not capable of trans-orbital flight and had almost no armor to speak of and as a result it was easy prey for anti-air weapons. The Xanthas features formidable armor plating, trans-orbital flight capabilities, and offensive weaponry potent enough to make it an excellent tool for assaults. The modified ML14-A mounted on the front of the craft allows it to make quick work of most ground targets, while the missiles afford long range strike and anti-air capabilities. Usually one or two officers will provide support fire out the sides using light support weapons or anti-armor rockets. On the downside, its top speed is a paltry 42 meters/second (152 km/h) under full load.
